Top 20 Songs

So after yesterday's HEAVY post, I was glad to see that Ang at Diary of a Domestic Failure was challenging readers to post their 20 favorite songs.  At first I thought that would be hard...but once I got scrolling through my ipod it was actually really hard to narrow it down.  I tried to really only pick the ones that I always get excited to hear and sing along with.  And I maybe left off a few embarassing ones (like this or this --gotta love Freshman year!)  Here we go:

1. Fix You- Coldplay
2. Crash- Dave Matthews Band
3. And it Stoned Me- Van Morrison
4. Something's Missing- John Mayer
5. Come Away with me- Norah Jones
6. Brick- Ben Folds Five
7. Carolina In My Mind- James Taylor
8. Everything to Everyone- Everclear
9. Fins- Jimmy Buffett
10. Hanging by a Moment- Lifehouse
11. Cablecar- The Fray
12. Semi-Charmed Life- Third Eye Blind
13. I'm Yours- Jason Mraz
14. Good- Better Than Ezra
15. Undone (The Sweater Song)- Weezer
16. Piano Man- Billy Joel
17. Don't Stop Believin- Journey
18. Apologize- One Republic
19. Sexy Back- Justin Timberlake
20. Smells Like Teen Spirit- Nirvana
**just realized that I originally listed "Sexy Back" by James Taylor...I guess he's the original JT, haha**

I realize I don't have very sophisticated musical taste...and I definitely link songs with memories, so that is why some made the list.  I'd love to see your top 20--hop on over to Ang's blog and link yours up!

  2. I love this post! I'll have to give this a shot this week. Like you, it will be hard for me to narrow it down. Great list, too! Almost all are on my iPod!

  3. I don't know if I can pick just 20 songs. I'm going to try though!

I love Brick too. Such a beautiful song. I actually had to write a paper about it in college (takes awhile to figure out what he's talking about!)
