So I'm guessing from the lack of comments that the three of y'all reading aren't so picky about your restaurant experiences...I'll try to cut back on my restaurant rants.
The ever so witty Mrs. Pretty at I Pick Pretty posted her "blogging space" and once again I thought "oh I surely think we are long lost sisters." She invited readers to share theirs so I thought I would show y'all where I blog. I had great hopes of blogging in my pretty pink office but in reality it all happens here:
between 6 and 7am usually with coffee and a wayward toy or two hanging around. I am also a serial multitasker so you would find me watching some nonsense like this that I can half-watch but still get the idea of what's going on.
Now to share a few other random things going on...BB went to his first "friend" birthday party (well, since he could walk) this weekend. It was held at our local "Fire Nation" as BB calls it. I was nervous as I am with any outing at this age, but he did AWESOME. The kids were invited to go check out the fireman in his suit and BB walked right up and gave the guy a hug. Melt my heart!
Then came the station tour! BB hopped right up in the firetruck, grabbed a seat and was ready to go. Seriously, he did not want to get out. Thankfully he did without making a scene...and he asked about 100 times to have "my turn in the truck {ambulance} please" but that was gross and understandably off-limits.
Now this little guy, oh where do I start with him? I am sucking up every last minute of his non-walking, itty bitty-ness.
I'm realizing that he will sooner than I like be out of "baby" clothes and that makes me sooooo sad.
He is still soooo sweet. His top teeth have been giving him some troubles, but that should be over soon. Yesterday afternoon we played on the floor in his room, which is something I did with BB all the time and I realized I haven't done it nearly enough with LB. Sad. There's definitely not enough of me to go around!
It's back to the gym for me today....I had to miss a day last week because an unnamed toddler had a mega tantrum and we couldn't even get out of the car. Fail. I'm loving My Fitness Pal...it's really helping me understand how much better it is to combine diet & exercise!
That's enough rambling for today!

Love that BB has on his firetruck attire for the birthday party. And, for what it's worth, I am a restaurant snob too. I think we just have so many outstanding restaurants here that it takes a lot to impress us anymore. If there are ever scallops on the appetizer menu, you can bet I will order them. If that dish had arrived at my seat I would have been disappointed too. All that said, your entree looked really good. Nothing is a bigger turnoff that a restaurant trying to be something it isn't. Kind of the same as with people I guess.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got a good picture of him with the fireman. He's such a cutie (BB, that is). Thanks again for coming!
ReplyDeleteHooray for the writing space - I will put a link to this in my post! That looks like a restful place for creating, and I so admire the discipline it takes to get up early every day for some quiet time (even if "RH" is on in the background :-).
ReplyDeleteI'm still laughing at "fire nation", BTW. From the mouths of babes . . .
I blog on the couch too. Usually with a fleece cow blanket tossed over my lap :)
ReplyDeletetrekking your blog!!! keep posting! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeletecheers!

ReplyDeleteFire station visits are the best! We can stop by our local station anytime between certain hours and we definitely take advantage!
ReplyDeleteBB looks like such a big kid in that first photo!
